Joyce Ann Britt Baxter, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on February 2, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" Britt and Ruth Britt; brothers, Buster, Glenn, and Bud Britt; sisters Linda Welch and Patricia Griffice.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Melvin "Greg Baxter; her children, Michael Green, of North Chattanooga, Christie Brewer, and David of Chatsworth, GA; two grandchildren that were her biggest joys in life, Coty Ridley, of Okeechobee, FL and Jessica Brewer, her special "Jessie Belle", of Chatsworth, GA; brothers-in-law, Carl Baxter, Jr, of Chattanooga, Lynn Baxter and Rhonda of Ooltewah; nephew, Britt Thomas; nieces, Michelle Rich, Elizabeth Daniel, Amber Baxter and Summer Higdon; special best friend, Bonnie Grissingger.
Thankful for all the compassion and care given by Chattanooga Hospice.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
