Sister
We will bring flowers to replace all the ones we "borrowed" from people's yards when we went riding around, we will cherish all the fun times that we spent hanging out at the corner Apt. or the Newell Road house, the raiding of your Mom's cabinets for food and your teaching us that the little can in the mac&cheese box was the best part and could be eaten by itself and first..You were the glue that held us all together---always having a good time even when doing nothing...hiding out from those truant officer parents, and trying to do car washes at Jimmy's station to raise money to go to the Drag Strip..We all knew the Best House was our place to go to be with friends and off the streets..Margaret was our Second Mom and only got a "little" mad when we put that Playgirl centerfold on her bathroom mirror...(Jim Brown)...You leave us with heavy hearts looking forward to that cookout at Rockwood Park that we were going to plan...I hope you and Mama are talking about the good-ole-days and now she can be your Second Mom... You will be in our hearts forever.....

We are heartsick and saddened over Sister’s passing. She will always be remembered from our youth. Sister was the neighborhood ‘rock’. She had a heart of compassion and was ready to lend a helping-hand to any neighborhood child in need. Sister, and the entire Best family, was a huge inspiration and support to us as kids. Providing food, shelter, and protection, you will always hold a piece of our hearts. So sudden, so tragic, and such a loss, we are so sorry. In much sympathy,

Joyce has been a part of our lives since our kids were teenagers. She was the cool Mom to all the teens. She was also the coolest grandma. We will all miss her. We are so thankful for her always being there for our daughters. She always had an open heart and an open door. We will treasure the times spent together and will always remember the laughter.

Irving and I want to express our condolences to your whole family in your loss. I remember our last gathering when the whole gang from the old neighborhood was together- (Boyce's 50th). I will cherish that time spent with Sister and everyone else. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you.
