DALTON - Joyce Caroline Bigler, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 86.
Joyce was born in Clark, Ohio on April 14, 1938 to the late Arthur and Mary {Moore} Michel. She graduated from Big Prairie-Lakeville High School in 1956.
On October 20, 1957 Joyce married Paul Bigler at Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Joyce worked in several offices in her lifetime including Diamonite in Shreve, Bell and Howell, Freelander’s, and Lehman Awning.
Joyce was a member of Dalton Presbyterian Church for many years and was also a part of the Women’s Association. She loved cooking and baking for her family, flowers of any kind and music, especially playing the piano.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Michel.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 67 years, Paul; son Michael (Angie) of Cabot, Arkansas; daughter Janiece of Dalton; grandchildren Shannon (Andrew) Bowden of Utah, Alexandra of Akron, Benjamin of Pataskala, and Lauren (Alex) Moore of Long Beach, MS.
Friends may call Monday May 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Joyce-Bigler) with Pastor Sally Fusek officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Shreve. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
