Joyce Marie Burnett, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. Born on January 9, 1950, she was the cherished daughter of Anne Beardan and Robert Kelly, and a devoted mother whose life was defined by love, resilience, and service to others.

Joyce dedicated herself to raising her children-Theresa Little, James Hanke, Kyle Sullivan, and Eric Burnett-instilling in them the values of strength, compassion, and perseverance. She shared a special bond with her brother, Bob Kelly Jr., whose presence remained an important part of her life. Outside of her home, Joyce served faithfully as a clerk typist with the Division of Family Services, where her quiet dedication and caring nature touched the lives of many.

She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren: Zachary and Tyler Hanke; Josh and Jenna Little; Charlie and Mikayla Sullivan; and Jackson Burnett. Whether sharing a meal, attending church, tending lovingly to her plants, or spoiling her cat, Princess, Joyce's gentle presence made every moment feel like home.

Joyce was a woman of deep faith, remarkable resourcefulness, and quiet strength. She was resilient through life's hardships and caring beyond measure, always putting others' needs before her own. Her love was the kind that comforted, encouraged, and endured.

A scripture that reflects her nurturing spirit is Isaiah 66:13:

"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem."

Joyce's legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched with kindness. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant-forever rooted in love, forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to be made to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
