Joyce Catrett, a beacon of love and faith, passed away surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. She was a woman of gentle spirit and boundless affection, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and cherished memories.
Joyce was a proud graduate of Andalusia High School and later honed her skills at a cosmetology school in San Angelo, TX. Her artistic talents were evident in her love for upholstery and ceramics, and she had a knack for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary with her creative touch.
The aroma of Joyce's mouthwatering biscuits often filled her home, a testament to her prowess in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook who took great joy in sharing her culinary creations with those she loved. Her passion for cooking was only matched by her love of travel. Joyce's adventurous spirit took her and her husband to many places.
Joyce's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by a loving circle that includes her daughter, Sandra (Larry) Fuller of Alexander City, AL; her son, Andra Catrett; her daughters-in-law, Elaine Catrett, Olean Catrett, and her cherished grandchildren, Tamara (Gary Goodwin) Turner, Shaun (Cassie) Culligan, Michael (Brandi) Catrett, Brandy (Justin) Smith, Craig (Brittany) Fuller, Crystal (Josh) Thornton, Jordan (Conrad) Catrett, and Alissa Catrett. Her legacy continues to blossom through her many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who will carry her spirit forward.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, G. W. Nelson; her mother, Willie King Nelson; her beloved husband, William Donald Catrett; and her sons, William Dexter Catrett and Timothy Catrett. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the memories they made together.
Those who knew Joyce would describe her as a loving and faith-filled woman. Her gentle nature and unwavering kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She lived her life with a quiet strength, guided by her deep faith, and was a source of comfort and inspiration to many.
Joyce's love for her family was immeasurable. She dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones, always there with a listening ear, an encouraging word, and a heart full of unconditional love. Her family gatherings were a testament to the close-knit bonds she fostered, filled with laughter, love, and her famous biscuits.
The world is a little less bright without Joyce's radiant presence, but her memory will continue to shine in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, faith, and gentleness will live on, a guiding light for her family and all who were touched by her grace.
Joyce Catrett's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love and care, a life well-lived and full of purpose. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to be felt in the gentle breeze, the laughter of her great-grandchildren, and the warmth of a family gathering. Her journey on earth has ended, but her story will be told for generations to come, a story of a woman who loved her family dearly and lived her life with grace and faith.
