Joyce E. Chady passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah, WI. She was born on February 22, 1940, in Split Rock, WI to Alfred and Emma Schmidt. She graduated from Marion High School in 1958. She was married to William Chady on October 21, 1967. She worked at Zwickers in Waupaca and the Deli and Bakery at Iola, WI for many years. Bill and Joyce farmed in Scandinavia, WI, then when they quit farming they moved to Ogdensburg, WI, where Bill and Joyce had a milk hauling business. Bill passed away in August 2017.
Joyce was well known for her love of sewing, she continued to sew up until recently, when an illness prevented her from getting to her sewing machine. Joyce was also a wonderful cook and baker. Desserts were her favorite to make and she was always trying new recipes. While Joyce was living at Park Vista in Waupaca, WI the employees and residents often smelled the aroma of her baking in the hall. Soon she would appear and start passing out her homemade treats.
Survivors include daughter, Beth Chady (Tim Gray); Grandchildren: KayLee (Brandon) Beyersdorf, Deatanna Gray, Brooke Gray (Andrew Clark); great grandchildren: Diesel, Claudia and Brooklyn Beyersdorf, William and Amaya Clark and many nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Joyce's Funeral will be held at The Dahlke Life Celebration Center at 101 E Main Street, Weyauwega,WI on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30am - 11:00am.
Joyce's family would like to thank the entire staff of Park Vista for the loving care they gave her.
