Joyce Ann Christensen

Joyce Ann Christensen, age 87 of Buena Vista Colorado passed away on Dec 14,2023 at Hope West in Grand Junction Colorado.

Joyce was raised in Windsor Vermont and graduated from Windsor High School in 1955. Joyce was married to Paul Dean Christensen and lived in Buena Vista for the past 49 years. Joyce has lived in Grand Junction/Fruita, Colorado for the past 2 years with her daughter Shari Slone.

She was born June 5,1936 to Lucella Mildred Grant and Clyde Isaac Boutwell. Joyce was employed at Ruger’s Gun Shop in New Port New Hampshire for many years doing the checkering on the gun stocks. Later she moved to Colorado in 1969 and worked in restaurants and motels until she retired. Joyce loved to gamble, and crochet in her spare time.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother Lucella Mildred Boutwell and Clyde Isaac Boutwell. Joyce is survived by her three children. Roy Rondeau 68, Shari Slone 63, Kevin Flint 61. And stepchild Susan Day, she also survived by her grandchildren Melissa Rondeau, Jeremy Slone, Jodi Kamplain, Darrin Flint, and Erica Flint, and Step grandchildren Ellen Brown, Emily Beaudoin, Great grandchildren Ryliegh Slone, Chance Slone, Kaydance Flint, Braxton Kastelic and Zoie Kamplain. Step Great grandchildren Tristen, Paisley Beaudoin and Collin Beaudion.
