Joyce Jean Bartlett-Clarke, of Lancaster, VA, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on January 29, 1941, in Lancaster to the late Harry James Stevens and Cathleen Lucy Stevens.

Joyce lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and for the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, who cherished her deeply.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Stanley Benjamin Bartlett, Jr. (Christy), James Arthur Bartlett (Jayme), Genevieve Ballard (Jordan), Mackenzie Bartlett, Harry James Stevens, Jr., Shirley Harmon, Peggy Tallent (Buck), and Samuel Stevens. She was preceded in death by Stanley Benjamin Bartlett, Warren Jullian Clarke, Melissa Brann, Mary Gibbs, Ronnie Stevens, Gene Stevens, and Joseph Stevens.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Currie Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Bethel United Methodist Church. A reception will be held afterward at Belle Isle State Park. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Joyce's life.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
