Joyce F. Collins (nee Chapman) age 89, of Manhattan passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025 at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet with her loving family at her side. Survived by her children Scott (Sherry) Collins, Shannon (Jerry) Loucks and Dawn (Tony) Janik, her grandchildren Joshua (Jessica) Collins, Codi Collins, Jeremy (Riley) Loucks, Jacob Loucks, Hannah Loucks, Jonah Loucks, Jayson Loucks, Abigail Loucks, Andrea smith, Ashley (Jeremiah) Abbott, Casey (Jeremy) Friley, her great grandchildren Hazel Fitzl, Tallulah Whitegull, Zoe (Matthew) Franz, Willow Riddle, Levi and Blake Friley and Lenox Abbott, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Chapman and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Harold and Mildred (nee Foster) Chapman, her husband Bob Collins (2022), her grandson-in-law Justin Smith and her siblings Eunice Wilson, Harold Chapman II, Naomi Fetterman and Ernest Chapman.

Joyce was a graduate of Fenger High School in Chicago. After Joyce's children went to school, Joyce went to work for Erb Lumber in their accounts payable for several years. She then took a position with the Armour Research Foundation of the Illinois Institute of Technology. She then ran her own daycare until her retirement. Joyce enjoyed going out to eat, small trips especially to Wisconsin, watching movies on the Hallmark Channel and outdoor yard work. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother sister and aunt and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per Joyce's wishes, she will be cremated and be reunited with her husband Bob at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
