Jo Cook, 81, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on November 14, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1944, in Michigan to Leonard and Caryl Flynn.

Jo was previously married to Les Belville, with whom she raised three beloved children: Todd Belville, Cyndi (Kevin) Peterson, and Angie (Rich) Rutledge. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Jo spent many years serving as the office manager at the Mental Health Center in Macomb, Illinois, where she was valued for her professionalism, kindness, and steady presence. She later worked for Help At Home, taking care of people in their homes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Shirley (Gene) Keithly and Linda (Gene)McCarty, her brother Charles Flynn, and her grandson, Tyler Gilson.

Jo leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children; her sister Jane (Bob) Wright; her grandchildren Justin Gilson, Molly (Jake) Blickhan, Kirsti (Josh) Hoopingarner, Joey(Jessie)Kelley, Jacob (Marie) Kelley, Devin (Taylor) Rutledge, and her great-grandchildren Avery, Kendall, Callen, Carrick, Roark, Griffin, Shep, and Ty. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and they will forever remember her gentle spirit, warm hugs, and the way she made each of them feel uniquely cherished.

Jo will be remembered for her warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion lives on in all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wesley Village assisted living fund or the McDonough County Animal Shelter.
