Joyce Lee Howell Cresson
Joyce Lee Howell Cresson 91, of Lenoir, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her residence. Joyce was born on April 14, 1932, to the late Henry Howell and Zora Sanders Howell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her loving husband, Fred Monroe Cresson, and two daughters, Marie Holden and Teresa Cresson
Mrs. Cresson was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, she worked in the furniture manufacturing, also was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her son, William Eugene Cresson, two daughters, Christine Hodge, and Wanda Holder all of Lenoir, NC. Mrs. Cresson is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:45 p.m. at Bass- Smith Granite Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Ford officiating. The family will receive from 1:00 till 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Lenoir with Rev. David Smith officiating.
