DAVIS, Joyce Lorraine, age 91, of Swartz Creek, passed away on November 14, 2024 She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends for her generous spirit and dedication to those she cherished. Joyce was born on June 7, 1933, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, to Ivan H. and Ethel M. (Barber) Brooks. On August 18, 1953, she married Donald Davis, who preceded her in death in January 1985. Following years of dedicated service, Joyce retired from Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Central Supplies and Material Management in 1994. Her passions included spending quality time with her sisters, reading, and giving to those in need. Above all, Joyce lived for her family, who meant the world to her. She is survived by four children: Vicki Davis of Flint, Mark Davis of Swartz Creek, Kim M. (Enrique) Montalvo of Flint Township, and Thomas Davis of Flint Township; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Joyce also leaves behind her sister, Beverley Hufford, and half-brother, Ivan Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Randy Davis, and her granddaughter Holly Davis, as well as her sister Eleanor Valley and brother Don Bowman. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Care Team Hospice, especially nurses Dori and Trevor, for their compassionate care during this time. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, located at 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettel officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral home, as well as from 12 PM to 1 PM on Thursday prior to the service. Those wishing to honor Joyce's memory may make memorial contributions to Calvary Community Church, located at 1201 W 12th St, Flint, MI 48507. Tributes can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
