Joyce Dusharm

Joyce E. (Riley) Dusharm, 92, of Titusville, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2024. She was born to the late Lawrence and Marie (Barbeau) Riley on September 28, 1931, in Burlington, Vermont.
Joyce met her soulmate, Leo C. Dusharm Sr., whom she married on April 4, 1949. Together, they shared 66 wonderful years as husband and wife and best friends. Joyce spent many years working as a seamstress and then doing custom interiors from her home in Mallets Bay. In the later years of her life, she dedicated herself to caring for her beloved husband, Leo, and her brother, Donald Riley. She loved reading, traveling, playing bingo, watching The Young and the Restless, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Leo C. Jr. (Ann) of Titusville, FL; Robin of Bailey, CO; and Randy (JoAnn) of Cape Coral, FL; her sister, Shirley Ballard; and her brother, Robert (Gail) Riley. Joyce is also survived by ten grandchildren: Theresa Dusharm, Traci (Todd) Billings, Tanya LaChapelle, Danielle (Todd) Charlebois, Ashley Dusharm, Allison (Ron) Ploof, Renee (Ryan) Mobbs, Randi-Lynn (Justin) Crowther, Dian Dusharm, and Selam Dusharm; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Leo C. Dusharm Sr. (April 14, 2014); daughter, Brenda M. (Dusharm) O'Brien (January 22, 2006); siblings Donald, Joseph, and Theresa; and grandson Joshua N. Dusharm (December 29, 2022).
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Her warm presence and caring nature touched the lives of those around her.
A graveside burial and memorial service for Leo and Joyce will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Francis Reflections Life Stage Care of Brevard County, FL, in Joyce's memory.
Joyce's kindness and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
