Joyce Davis Ellison

Mrs. Joyce Davis Ellison, age 81, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born on August 20, 1944 in Tampa, Florida. She was the daughter to the late Johnny Cleo and Annie Mae Blanch Marrs Davis.

Mrs. Ellison is survived by her daughter, Angela Shuman (Chris); sons, Ronald L. Ellison, Jr. "Bud" (Lynne), Rick Ellison (Amy) and Robert Ellison "Rob" (Dayana); brother, Kenneth Wayne Davis (Cheryl); grandchildren, Katlyn Ellison, Sydney Ellison, Kristen Harris, Ty Ellison, Cody Howerton, Matt Harris (Hannah), Chris Shuman, Jr., Lance Ellison, Nicholas Ellison and Matthew Ellison; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Mrs. Ellison is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Lewis Ellison, Sr. and sister, Eileen Davis McLaughlin.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Ellison will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. John Redding officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Ellison will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from two o'clock in the afternoon until four o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellison's grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Ty Ellison, Cody Howerton, Matt Harris, Chris Shuman, Jr. and Lance Ellison. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Ellison and Matthew Ellison.
