Joyce Anne Fiannaca

Joyce Anne (Vander Loop/Vander Velden) Fiannaca died peacefully at Century Oaks Care Center on March 6, 2023.  Joyce was born to Arnold and Cecilia (Van Heuklon) Vander Loop on October 10, 1943, in Appleton. She attended Kaukauna High School and graduated in 1962. She married Kenneth Vander Velden and the couple had two children Mark and Todd. Following Kenneth’s passing she found love again and in 1995 married Joseph Fiannaca in Reno, NV.   Joyce was one optimistic soul. She always saw the best in life. She was a happy and cheerful person even when a keen observer might think she should feel differently. It was just in her nature to smile, and enjoy the company of others. She enjoyed playing bingo.   Joyce is survived by her two sons Mark and Todd Vander Velden; siblings: James Vander Loop, Rita (Robert) De Bruin and Donna Vander Loop. Preceding her in death are her husbands, her parents, brothers: Louis (Micky) Vander Loop, Robert (Doris) Vander Loop and William (Jackie) Vander Loop; sister Delores (John) Yankoski as well as sister-in-law Dottie Vander Loop.   The family would like to thank Century Oaks Care for their compassion and especially to Ann for her extra attention.   The family will hold a private celebration of life later and extends their gratitude to all family and friends for their love and concern.   Please share a story of favorite memory of Joyce below.
