Joyce Marie (Blufoes) Hamber

Joyce Marie Hamber, 65, of St. Louis, Mo. died Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Stockbridge, Ga. Ms. Hamber was born Dec. 11, 1946 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of First Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo., and was a retired Registered Nurse. Ms. Hamber enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Survivors include 2 children, James Hamber and wife Angie of St. Louis, Mo. and Consuelo Stuart and husband Avery of Stockbridge, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Zoe and James Hamber, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Barbara Jean Jackson of Poplar Bluff and Angela Overton of East St. Louis, Ill. Ms. Hamber was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Mae Blufoes and on April 1, 2012 by her father, George Willie Blufoes. A Memorial Service for Ms. Hamber will be combined with the funeral service of her father, George Willie Blufoes at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Quincy Keeble Sr. officiating. Ms. Hamber's ashes will be interred with her father at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. Cotrell Funeral Service of Poplar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
