Joyce Hargett Obituary
Joyce is survived by her brother, Bruce Hargett of Rock Hill, and was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Hargett.
Joyce loved the Clemson Tigers, her family, and her church. She always had a smile on her face and brought joy to those around her. She dearly loved her cat, "Socks," and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Chandler Place. She was the heart of the Hargett and Wheeler families and cherished her aunts, uncles, and cousins too. Her favorite pastimes included watching game shows and Judge Judy, playing on her iPad, and coloring.
A funeral service for Joyce will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Lakewood Baptist Church, 3250 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church, and at other times during the afternoons at the Staton home, 3084 McCall Meadows Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Following the service, burial will be at Forrest Hills Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joyce Hargett's memory to The Anchor Fund at Lakewood Baptist Church (address listed above). Condolences may be made at greenefuneralhome.net.

Mrs. Anne and Bruce,
I just heard and was so sorry to hear about Joy. I don't believe anyone that I've ever known had a more applicable name, for she was a Joy.
