Joyce A. Hofmann

Joyce A. Hofmann, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 84, in Greenwood, Indiana. Born on February 25, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Alfred J. & Deloris J. Henshilwood.

Joyce was a home maker and also managed a career at Sears that spanned two decades. Starting in a role that allowed her to artfully gift-wrap treasures for countless customers, she soon became the friendly face of customer service before ultimately taking up responsibilities in the security department.

A loving wife, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Hofmann; sister, Judith Arlene Henshilwood, her brother, Bill Henshilwood. She is survived by her children, Kim (Mike) Huber, Jason (Amy) Hofmann, Mark Hofmann and sister-in-law Pam Henshilwood. Joyce's five grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Huber, Michael (Sara) Huber, Jace Hofmann, Glen Hofmann, and Caroline Hofmann, will forever remember her warmth and wisdom, and her great-grandchildren, Maylee, Henley, and Michael Huber, will grow up remembering her love of candy, snacks and chips. She never let any of her grandkids leave without a to-go bag full of snacks and a hug.

Joyce had a profound love for animals, none more so than her cat, Charlie, whom she nursed back to health with the same compassion and tenderness she showed to all living things.

While we mourn the loss of such a beautiful soul, we also celebrate the extraordinary life Joyce A. Hofmann lived. Her light, though no longer with us on this earth, continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. She was a beacon of love and kindness, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. Joyce's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who shared in her life's journey - for every shared moment, every laugh, and every lesson. She has left an indelible mark on this world, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00pm, Wednesday, December 3rd at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street with visitation from 12:00 to service time.
