Joyce Lynn Johnson, 79, of Ashland, OH, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Riverside Hospital, in Columbus, OH.
Joyce was born on January 6, 1946, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to John Thomas Kauffman and Phyllis Jean{Shuman} Neibert. She married Westley Kidwell April 10, 1964 (who passed away September 14th, 2017). She married Dave Johnson (who passed away about twelve years ago) on November 30, 1985.
Joyce babysat for neighbors, friends and of course her grandchildren. She also worked in nursing homes, and at All Prints in Mansfield (since closed). She loved to cross-stitch, crochet, and word-search. She attended church in her younger days. She had a lifelong friend, Larry, that she enjoyed teasing and going out to eat and see the sights with. She loved to tease her son-in-law Ray. She loved to work in her flower beds. She was canning all the time, beans, tomatoes, beets, coprn. Joyce lived in Loudonville for her whole life until just the past few years.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her children Kathy (Ray – deceased) Edwards, Gayle Campbell, Jeremy Kidwell, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, cousins; brother Ed (Violet) Kauffman and her sister Carolyn (Brian) Hoagland. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Tracey Bailey, brother Chuck Kauffman and sister Diane Maxwell.
The family will hold a celebration of life later in January, 2026. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
