Joyce Jones Obituary

Joyce E. Jones

August 16, 1931 - January 2, 2026

Joyce E. Jones, 94, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, following a long well-lived life. She was born in Glens Falls, NY, on August 16, 1931, to the late Roy and Helen (Johnson) Ketchum.

Joyce grew up and worked on the family farm on Patterson Road. She worked in the cafeteria for Moaks Auction for many years, an environment where her nurturing spirit thrived. She was known for her warm smiles as much as for the nourishing food she served. Joyce then extended her service to the community by working at the Hoosick Valley High School cafeteria, Fish Creek Rod and Gun Club alongside her husband,

For sixteen years, Joyce worked as a groundskeeper at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds alongside her late husband, Charles W. Jones - a testament to her dedication and love for her community. She had a love for animals, taking care of ducks, chicken, goats and many others on the farm.

Despite the demanding nature of her roles, Joyce always carried out her responsibilities with a heart full of grace and a spirit filled with joy.

Joyce's legacy of hard work and love continues through her son, Charles (Ann) Jones, and now she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Charles Jones, her spirit, her example, and her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by her brothers, Warren and LeRoy Ketchum and sister Ruth Price.

Spring burial will be held in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

Donations in her memory may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.

In honor of Joyce's life, family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness, are encouraged to share their memories, stories, and photographs on her memorial page at www.flynnbrosinc.com.
