Joyce A. Mabie

Milford- Joyce A. (Smith) Mabie, 73, of Milford passed away on Tues. October 6, 2015 in Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston. She was the wife of Sal J. Taralli. Joyce had worked as a floral designer at Plaza Floral Design in Framingham prior to retirement. She had also worked as a child care provider in the Milford area for a number of years. She was born on December 26, 1941 in Dorchester the daughter of the late Warren and Helen (Driscoll) Smith and was a graduate of Framingham North High School. Joyce loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed volunteering for My One Wish, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the American Cancer Society, all at the Milford Chapters. In addition to her husband Sal, Joyce is survived by her two sons, Bryan D. and his wife Carlene Mabie of Shrewsbury, and Kevin P. Mabie of Milford; two daughters, Catherine J. Mabie of Milford, and Maureen J. and her husband Bryan Sacco of Uxbridge; a sister, Helen Boes of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard J. Mabie, Jr. and two daughter-in-laws, Monica Mabie and Tina Mabie. Visiting hours will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Sat. October 10, 2015 at 8 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Mary's Church, 19 Winter St., Milford .
