Joyce Melton Obituary
Born November 6, 1942 in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Gordon Napier and Annie Christine Aylor Napier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lewis Melton, Jr.
Joyce was retired from State Farm. During her retirement years, she enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, collecting, buying and selling antiques.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Napier and wife Stacy of Gordonsville; nephews, Bradley Napier and wife Mary of Locust Grove, Brandon Napier of Gordonsville; great nephews, Mason and Blake Napier; sister-in-law, June Johnson of Gordonsville; her best friend, Barbara Morris of Keswick; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends form 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
