Joyce Ann Milburn

A Mt. Eden resident, Mrs. Joyce Ann Milburn, age77, passed away Saturday, December 23,2023 at Baptist Health,Louisville surrounded by her family. She was born February 11,1946 in Spencer County, Kentucky to the late Claude Franklin and Rhoda Jewell Monroe. Joyce was a former Nurse's Assistant at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital for 30 years, a member of Grace Chapel, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who made her family feel special. She was a strong woman of God that loved the Lord with all her heart and loved serving at her church. She served as the pianist for many years making a joyful noise unto the Lord and was the church Mom to many through the years making a lasting impression on their lives. She will always be loved and never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Kathleen Goodlett, Dolly Rodgers, Edna Richardson, Margaret Bruner, Jeanette Armstrong, James, Claude Jr., William, and Harold Monroe.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Willis Milburn, daughters, Lisa (Dwayne) Conner of Mt. Eden, Joy (George) Blakeman of Shelbyville and son, Troy (Angela) Milburn of Mt. Eden, 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Milburn will be Thursday, December 28,2023 at 12:00 pm from Grace Chapel in Taylorsville. Bro. Terry Burkhead and Bro. Mike Willingham will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday at Grace Chapel from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Thursday after 10 until time of the funeral. Cremation will follow. Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
