Joyce Millette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Strawser Funeral Home - Blue Ash on Jun. 20, 2024.
In the quiet serenity of Heaven's Garden, a new bloom emerged on Saturday, June 15, 2024, as Joyce Ann Millette, aged 64, gently left our world. Joyce, beloved wife and confidante to Richard Millette, and nurturing mother to Elizabeth, Julie, Rachel (Brad) Ropke, Eric (Alex Carrol) Millette, and Anna Millette, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Born in Toledo, OH, on March 20, 1960, to the late John and Bernadine Adler, Joyce was a cherished sister to Tom (Pat) Adler, Jim Adler, Karen Foos, Dave (Poe) Adler, John (Karri) Adler, Chris Adler, and Rob Adler. Blessed with grandchildren Carmen Millette, Jacob Ropke, Tyler Ropke, and Katherine Kramer-Millette, Joyce's legacy continues to thrive.
Joyce's love was as genuine as it was profound, leaving behind memories that time cannot erase. Her natural gift for growing daylilies, which showered a rainbow of colors, and her support for the Monarch butterfly and other species, filled the earth with a touch of Heaven's presence. Their gentle appearances always evoked feelings only they could give.
In this time of sorrow, the family kindly requests their privacy be respected as they begin the healing process. Services will be held privately. They extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shown them love and sent condolences. These acts of kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to NAMI of SW Ohio namisouthwestohio-bloom.kindful.com The family invites you to share condolences on Joyce's tribute wall at www.strawserfuneralhome.com.
In loving memory of Joyce, may her spirit continue to bloom in Heaven's Garden and in the hearts of those she touched.

Joyce's warm smile was a familiar sight as she dropped Kate off for her horse riding lesson at the barn. Her unwavering dedication, love, and support for her daughter and granddaughter always took precedence, embodying her kind and caring nature. Her presence will be deeply missed. As a tribute to Joyce, a tree will be planted in her memory on our farm..

I will forever remember Joyce running across my front yard in her Communion dress and veil. She was beautiful as a young girl and more so as an adult. Her quiet demeanor was touching. She will be missed and remembered by those who knew her and grew up with her on Atwell Road. Joyce, go in peace to your eternal reward.

Joyce was our neighbor for almost 20 years and our children grew up together. She always had a smile and loving touch. Joyce loved flowers, she loved life but most of all, she loved her children and family. She was a wonderful woman and will certainly continue blessing her children from above. God just needed another Angel. Rest peacefully in heaven Joyce.

Joyce had a heart of gold! She was one of the nicest persons. I was fortunate to have grown up in the neighborhood and to have known here. She always had a smile!

Our Lake Eire families were brought together by the love of fishing. Joyce loved her family. Her world revolved around her children and her grandchildren. I will miss our morning chats and our suppers together on the deck. Our evening campfires. Our desserts as the sunset. She loved the view from her deck looking at the marsh she was surrounded by nature it was her happy place. If there are flower gardens in heaven you will find her there planting flowers for all of us to see. RIP Joyce!

I will never forget her smile as she was always smiling. She and Rick were a part of my Erie family as we met up every summer.
