Oh, Joyce! We had just gotten reacquainted and started checking in with each other weekly. I wondered why you didn´t call me on Thursday. Then I realized that you had already died. So sudden! So sad! You truly seemed to be adjusting to your new life, with grandchildren providing you with meaning and a reason for living.
Joyce and I were in the same academic section at Minersville high, and frequently walked to school together. One memory I cherish is the sleepover we had for Kennedy´s election. I wonder how many of the six of us are still democrats! What´s special about our relationship is that we do not talk about politics.
My heart goes out to the family, with yet another death to deal with.May the love you have Joyce and Ed ease your sorrows. -Dawn. Rodrigues
