Joyce L. Mordick

Joyce L. (Stockton) Venditti-Mordick, 80, of Freeport, IL, passed away on February 5, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1945 in Albany, Kentucky, to Hunley O. Stockton and Georgia L. (Brown) Stockton. She was a graduate of Freeport High School (Class of 64'). On August 28, 1965, she married Paul J. Venditti, Jr, and later Kenneth J. Mordick. She worked many years at Micro Switch and Thermos before retiring. Her pride and joy was her grandson Tug, and what she loved most of all was going to his sporting events and cheering him on. She was a very proud grandma "Mimi"

Survivors include her daughter – Jodie (David Dornink) Venditti, grandson – Matthew Tug Dornink, stepdaughter – Merry Kay Cassidy, sister – Julia (Judy) Kaney, and brother – Steve Stockton.

She was preceded in death by both parents, husband -Paul J. "Paulie" Venditti, son – Kenneth J. Mordick II, husband – Kenneth J. "Pete" Mordick, sisters: Mary (Carolyn) Sieber, Terry Martin, and Nancy Franz.

A visitation will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026, from 11 AM - 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, located at 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
