Joyce was born in Lufkin, Texas on May 17, 1940 to the late Robert Lee Kelley and Nettie Victoria Thompson Kelley. Joyce went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2024. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church. She lived a simple life; loving her family, music and most of all GOD!

One of her grandchildren wrote, “This is the most Godly woman I have ever known. I was blessed to have been chosen as one of your grandchildren. All the love, the preaching, life lessons and gripping you’ve given will forever be instilled in me! (I know you will still be guiding all of us) I know you will show us just how real the power of prayer is. I can feel the excitement you felt as you made it to those Pearly Gates. Even though I will miss you tremendously, I’m happy knowing you made it to your everlasting home (of course you made it the night before Sunday morning service). I can already hear you singing in that Heavenly choir! I love you Mawmaw.

Joyce is survived by her sons Kenneth Hopkins and wife Linda of Kilgore, Jason Renfro and wife Devan of Gladewater; daughters Rita Bell of Kilgore, Sabrina Barker of Kilgore, Debbie Renfro John of Gilmer and Joyce Michelle Delaney and husband Tim of Gilmer; Many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce was even blessed with great great grandchildren; ensuring her legacy to live on and grow.

Joyce is preceded in death by her mother Nettie Kelley as well as other family members.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Union Grove Cemetery with Bro. Kenneth Hopkins and Bro. Tommy Bracher officiating. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 8:00 until 9:00 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater prior to services at Union Grove Cemetery.
