When I married, Joyce and Joe welcomed me to his/their family with a genuine friendship that superseded age and distance. Thanks to Facebook, we were able to keep in touch almost daily. Our mutual support of Hadassah, brought us even closer together. They have been missed dearly, and thought about often. Their memories are truly a blessing.

Oh my goodness. Just saw Joyce's name in the Jewish Exponent. Bruce and I send our deepest condolences to you all. Joyce and Joe were the only relative of Bruce's mother's family that I knew. We got married June 29th 1975 and moved out of town right away. Joyce and Joe welcomed me into the family and alway made me feel like I belonged. Once Joyce and I connected on-line we communicated regularly. Joyce was my Hadassah Role Model. I learned about becoming a Hadassah Keeper from Joyce and have been a proud keeper ever since. Now I know why my New Years card to her came back to me last week. Please know that I truly treasured our friendship and that I will miss her very much. May her memory be for a blessing for all of us.
