OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Joyce Virginia (Shelton) Ritchie, age 93 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverend Johnny Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow in the McGaha Memorial Cemetery in the Red Wing Community near Oak Grove.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from noon until 7 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Mrs. Ritchie passed into eternal life on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at West Carroll Care Center in Oak Grove.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Orice Ritchie; father, William Thomas Shelton; mother, Helen Marie (Peters) Shelton; and 2 grandsons, Jonathan Travis & Kyle Terrence Corbin.
Joyce is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Danny Peters of Bastrop, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Ritchie of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Geraldine Ritchie Townsend of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Annette Ritchie of Eudora, Arkansas; daughter, Sherrie Lynn Bonner of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son, Tommy Ritchie of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother, Wallace Shelton (Carolyn) of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Connie Corley of Oak Grove, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Jeffery Ritchie, Jim Boyles, Jeremy Ferrell, Kevin Ritchie, Mitchell Ritchie, and Jacob Evans.
