Joyce "Ramona" Rowland

Ramona was born May 11th, 1931, and the Lord called her Home December 6th, 2023, at 92 years of age. Ramona was the daughter of Charles Vanier Rowland and Ruth Elaine Noah. She was the middle of three children born to the couple. Her older brother Donald Keith Rowland died in 2018, and her younger sister Peggy Jo Rowland died in 2010. Ramona had one son, Peter Glenn Rowland, born in 1955. Tragically, Glenn predeceased his mom in 2007.
Ramona was a staple at most McNeely and Norwood family reunions, as her mom's six brothers and sisters had lived near, and/or married into both of those families.
She always had a box of photos and a magnifying glass in tow, and could spout birthdays, and family connections at the drop of a hat!
Jesus was and is First in Ramona's life. She served a multitude of years in the Nursery at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales and loved the children she cared for. In lieu of flowers, Ramona's family requests donations to First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales 230 N. 5th Street, Lake Wales 33853 for the Ramona Rowland Memorial Nursery. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 20th at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church - North 5th St. Lake Wales, FL.
