Joyce E. Schaab

1926 - 2022

Schaab, Joyce E., - 95, of Galloway, (Nee Hanselman) of Cologne passed away Saturday, June 18 at AtlantiCare with family by her side. Joyce lovingly known as "Annie" attended Cologne School from Kindergarten through 8th grade, attended Egg Harbor City High School, and then attended Atlantic City Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1947. She worked as a nurse all of her life starting out at Atlantic City Hospital, Directress at Our Lady's Residence in Pleasantville and finally Betty Bachrach until retiring. Annie even tried her hand at being a real estate agent. She was involved in the South Jersey Photography Club where she held the position of President, Atlantic County 4-H where she was a leader for over 20 years, Oakcrest Band Parents Association and founding member of Absegami Band Parents Association. Her pride and joy was serving the Lord through her church, Egg Harbor City Moravian Church where she headed up and worked on many committees over the years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and camper taking her children and grandchildren many places. Joyce is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Edna (Bauer) Hanselman and sister Corrine. She is survived by her husband George of 74 years, her brother Clarence (Joan), her son George (Joanna), her son Jay (Tammy) and her daughter Holly; her grandchildren Jonathan, Heather, Stacy, Michelle, Jay, Arthur, Jenny, Kaley and Darla; and her 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way whom she just adored; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on June 23rd from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Saraceno Funeral Home 1114 White Horse Pike Egg Harbor City, NJ with an Interment to follow at Germania cemetery.
