Yesterday

I was just doing my Christmas cards and found an old one from Joyce which said " call me" with her phone number and told myself , yes, I'm calling now. Then my son, who was checking on the accuracy of her address for me, found Joyce's obituary.
I am so sorry that we haven't talked for so many years. I remember my first King Frost parade in Hamburg. In fact, I have many fond memories as roommates and friends at Millersville. I remember all of Joyce's family members, her mom, Jannes and Judy, even her ex Bill who we found out lived one street away from me in Slatington. I still chuckle when I recall dying her hair "Orangutan Orange when we were at Millersville and going to the USO dances. Geesh, I just remembered her cat's name, Nebulous!
I love you Joyce and will always hold you in a special place in my heart.

My Dear Sister suffered so much in her life! But she always kept her Spirits up with her sense of humor! I'm so THANKFUL for the days I got to spend with her the last few months she was in & out of the Hospitals & Rehabs! We talked & shared laughs together! She always faced her "Battles" with courage! She LOVED her Pets and had many over the years! She left behind her beloved cats , Mepkin & Gramps. We are thankful that we found a good home for them! I'm sure they are missing her as much as we do! :0( She is suffering no more! Rest in peace my Dear Sister! Love, Judy & Bob

My thoughts and prayers are with Pastor Joyce's families. She was a very spiritual person and always a joy to talk with her and upbeat no matter what was happening in life. Our telephone conversations and memories of her over the years will always be remembered.
