I was shocked to hear that such a beautiful rose was plucked so early in her life. Growing up in Le Mars so many years ago and getting to know Joyce when she worked at the Dairy Queen was one of the highlights of my youth. She was one of the most kind, loving and compassionate ladies I have ever known. The light of the world has been greatly diminished by her passing. God speed Joyce.

Where do we start?? Knowing Joyce for 18 years has been our privilege to have such a wonderful friendship with such an AMAZING person. When I first met Joyce, after being hired at Michigan Chandelier's Rochester store, I remember her just buzzing around, full speed ahead and trying to train me at the same time. She taught me so much about the lighting world....who would have thought there were so many different light bulbs, but she took the time to not only train me to be a decent lighting consultant but was there for me, every step of the way, helping me get through a very personal tough time in my life, a divorce. We would live up at the Hamlin Pub after work. I'd have my huge plate of fries for dinner and she would always bring me out of my funk. Her laugh was absolutely contagious! There were so many times my ribs would ache after being around her...we laughed at work just as much as she made the work day fly by. My husband and I would not have been able to celebrate our 14th anniversary if it wasn't for Joyce setting us up on a blind date (at the Hamlin Pub of course). I remember when she introduced us, I turned to her and whispered, "I don't know if I'm ready to date again Joyce". Her response was priceless, as she replied, "Shut up and just keep talking!" Obviously, I took her advice and had fallen in love by the end of the night. We owe everything to Joyce for making a perfect match. We will miss her so very much, but feel relief that she is now in the arms of God and pain-free. Joyce will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace our dear, dear friend. Until we meet again....Keep a light on in heaven. So much love, Michelle & Randy Rosebush

Joyce was such a ray of sunshine, always smiling and happy, sharing her time with family and friends. She was a beam of light that will always shine in my heart and in my memories. She was always great at calling to assemble Happy Hours with friends, so important to keep our connections and updates of families. Oh she she beamed when she talked of her lovely grandchildren; she was such a proud Grandmom. I will miss Joyce terribly, and I pray that Tom and Joyce's wonderful family will hold strongly to her beaming presence around them that she leaves behind. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Joyce will be missed by all of us at Michigan Chandelier. I work in a different location but had the pleasure of seeing her when I was in Troy. I will sure miss her smile and bubbly personality. I will keep her and the family in my prayers.

The time Carol and I house sat a Joyce's house and the hot tub overflowed, and we didn't know how to stop it. Carol eventually got a neighbor to help us before we flooded the backyard.
Vance and I are so sorry for all of you.
