Joyce Robin Shown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce "Robin" Shown, who departed this life on February 18, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on November 19, 1958, Robin was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

Raised in Reidsville, NC, Robin spent her adult years in Greensboro, NC, where she built a life filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed her retirement after a fulfilling career in accounting, dedicating her time to the pursuits that brought her joy. Among her greatest treasures was her grandson, AJ, whom she cherished dearly. Robin found great pleasure in outings and visiting with her family, nurturing her garden, and collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Roy Shown, and her sister, Sharon Shown, Robin leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her son, Andrew Rumley, and his girlfriend, Jessica; her cherished grandson, AJ; her sister, Beverly Shown (Jesse Julian) and niece, Tonya Harrison; her brothers, Keith (Star) Shown and Lee Shown; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of Robin's life will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 6 PM at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation prior to the service from 4-6 PM to honor her memory and share in the joy she brought to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, reflecting Robin's spirit of generosity and care for others.

Robin will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she bestowed upon her family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
