Joyce Runnette Smith, 81, entered into rest Friday, November 21, 2025. She was born in Kite, GA to the late Bessie and Euylas Lamb. She worked as a clerk at the Columbia County Tag Office. Runnette loved crafting and ceramics, spending many hours at the recreation department doing both and making friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Arlie Jackson Smith, Jr.; a grandson, A.J. Allen; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Andrew Grimaud.
She is survived by two children, Don E. Smith (Debra) and Lynn White (Rob); four grandchildren, Dawn Mahaffey (J.T. Jackson), Devin Marchman (Billy), Melissa Barefield (Shawn), and Hadley Coble (Joel); 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
