Joyce Stutzman

Joyce Elaine Stutzman, of Milford, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 85.

Joyce was born November 17, 1940, in Seward, Nebraska, to Sterling and Vietta (Stutzman) Stauffer. She grew up in the Seward County area and carried with her the strong values of faith, family, and hard work throughout her life.

On August 28, 1959, Joyce was united in marriage to Stanley Stutzman at East Fairview Church near Milford, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Milford, where they built a life together and raised their family.

Joyce worked for a time at Crestview Nursing Home and also worked in daycare. She dedicated much of her life to being a loving homemaker and caring for her family. She was also a long time member of Beth - El Church and above all, devoted her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with those she loved most. Joyce especially treasured time with her children and family, and she will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, and devotion to her loved ones.

Joyce is survived by her children, Debra & Kevin Masten, Omaha, NE, Jim & Beth Stutzman, Milford, NE, Patty Bittinger, Lincoln, NE, Doug & Jill Stutzman, Denton, NE; grandchildren Andy & Jordan Masten, Omaha, NE, Austin & Sara Masten, Omaha, NE, Michael Stutzman, Milford, NE, Suzanne & Jeremiah Swanson, Malcolm, NE, Brandon & Ashley Bittinger, Bennet, NE, Shelbi & Logan Clonce, Utica, NE, Cole Stutzman, Lincoln, NE; great grandchildren Marlow, Roman, Charlie, Micah, Ridge, Violet, Brantley, Beckett, Hadley, Paityn, Colter; brother and sister Bob Stauffer and Darleen Steckly; sisters-in-law Veryl Stutzman, Barb Stutzman, and Ruth Erb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Gary.

Visitation: Thursday, March 12, 2026, 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Lauber Funeral Home in Milford, NE with family greeting and receiving friends and relatives from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Service: Friday, March 13, 2026, 10:30 a.m. at the Beth-El Community Church, Milford, NE.

A private family graveside service will take place at the Milford Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials will be given to the family for a future designation.
