Joyce L. Thomas, 90, of Killeen, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025.
She was born on September 14, 1935, in Brenham, Texas, to Walter and Albina Schiller. Joyce grew up in Temple, Texas, and graduated from Temple High School in 1954.
On September 27, 1958, she married the love of her life, Dan F. Thomas. Together, they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and family.
A longtime member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen, Joyce was a devoted wife and a kind, gentle spirit who touched everyone she met. She had a special love for gardening-especially tending to her rose bushes, which continue to bloom as a lasting reminder of her care and beauty.
Joyce is now reunited with her beloved husband, Dan. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Albina Schiller; two sisters, Betty Routt and Carolyn Mercer; and her grandson, Kyle Thomas.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Debra Green, and son-in-law, Tim Green; her son, Dennis Thomas, and his wife, Clara Thomas; three grandchildren, Amy Green, Katye and Brian Cook, and Justin Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Lyndsey Cook; and her two cherished four-legged companions, Granger and Nova.
Her love, warmth, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family of Mrs. Thomas would like to extend special thanks to Park Place Manor and staff of Belton, Texas as well as Heart to Heart Hospice Staff.
