Mrs. Joyce Anne (nee Jenkins) Vacha

Joyce Anne Vacha (nee Jenkins), 60, of Avon Lake, passed away at home on Monday December 19, 2011. She was born November 12, 1951 in Lorain and had lived in Avon Lake since 1988. Joyce was employed as a Librarian with the Elyria High School and retired after 30 years of service. Joyce graduated from Lorain High School then furthered her education earning a Bachelors Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University and a Masters Degree in Library Science from Kent State University. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, flower gardening and reading. Joyce is survived by her husband Brian whom she married on July 5, 1980; sister-in-law Deborah Fouts (Byron) of Oberlin, niece Elizabeth Fouts Palmer of NY, NY and mother-in-law Sylvia Vacha of Westlake. She is preceded in death by her parents Archibald and Agnes (nee Sikorski) Jenkins. No services are scheduled at this time. Joyce's body was donated to Case Western Reserve Medical School for the advancement of medical science.
