Joyce M. Volkmann

I will never forget getting to know her in my FM support group. She taught me many healthy ways of doing things that helped me. The trips and the rides I shared with Joyce to Southern Il, staying in a family cabin and the walks around the area and the pond showed me she was a good listener. I can never forget the hornets nest that seemed to come alive as the cabin warmed up. More hornets kept coming out of the nest flying around the inside of the cabin, Joyce was chasing them around the cabin!! We laughed so hard!Joyce told me of some of her struggles known only to a few, but she always showed compassion and care for others, was an excellent listener, smiled and laughed when it was needed. I am glad I was a part of her life. She had much influence on me when I needed a friend most.
