Joyce graduated from Chipley High School in 1957, she worked as a bookkeeper before graduation from Gulf Coast Community college where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. During her nursing career Joyce worked in the emergency department, surgical department and the intensive care unit before working in various roles in nursing homes. Joyce enjoyed singing in her church choir, she taught Sunday School and enjoyed attending and hosting many functions over the years. Joyce was an avid reader and loved many genres of music.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Lawrence and Loeta Burdeshaw; sister Kathryn Burdeshaw Hasty; husband Daniel "Danny" George Hasty; brother-in-law, Robert Lamar Crutchfield.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Melanie Williams (Cary Carlisle); sons, Murray Williams (Christina), Marc Williams (Glory); grandchildren, Haley, Daniel, Emma and Joe; sister, Sue Crutchfield.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
