Józef Pezdek passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Chicago, USA, on December 24, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 26, 1950, in Jablonka, Poland. Józef's journey led him from the rolling hills of his homeland to the bustling city of Chicago, where he established deep roots and a legacy of warmth and generosity.
The beloved son of the late Maria and the late Józef Pezdek. Husband to Malgorzata Pezdek. A proud father of Jolanta (Ryan) Tague, Renata (Wojciech) Szaflarski, the late Roman Pezdek, and Piotr Pezdek.
Józef's role as a grandfather brought him immense joy. Grandfather of Jessica Pezdek, Damian and Patricia Szaflarski, Nathan and Olivia Tague. The circle of life continued to expand for Józef as he embraced the role of great-grandfather to Camilka Szaflarski.
Józef's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit endures in the love he shared and the lives he touched. His journey from the quaint village of Jablonka to the vibrant community of Chicago is a story of hope, perseverance, and the enduring power of family bonds.
As we bid farewell to Józef Pezdek, we celebrate a life well-lived, a family well-loved, and a man who will forever be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Funeral, Monday, December 29, 2025, 8:45AM Prayers and Procession to begin from the funeral home to Saint Faustina Kowalska Church, 5255 S. McVicker Ave., Chicago, Illinois for 10:00AM Mass.
