Gerald “JR” Allen Harrell Jr. passed away at home on March 25, 2023. He was born to Margarett and Gerald “Jerry” Allen Harrell Sr. on August 8, 1976, in Vernal, Utah, where he was the fifth of eight children. JR was a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints member. He loved heading up the mountains with his family to go camping or fishing, finding pretty rocks, throwing knives, and watching movies, WWE, or especially football, with his favorite team being the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed jamming to some classic rock or cruising down the road. He was full of compassion, and though he had little to offer, he’d offer it all to ensure everyone was taken care of, even if it was just a big hug and the right words that would put a smile on your face and tears in your eyes. His love stretched far, starting first and foremost with his family to friends, even reaching strangers. Those touched by his selflessness knew how much of a big softie he was and how pure his kind heart was. We will always love and miss you until we meet again.
JR is survived and missed by his daughter Tashia Harrell. His mother Margarett Harrell, brothers Wayne Nichols, Rick Nichols, and Ritchie Harrell; sisters Jackie Baggs, Cindy Nash, and Katricia Harrell. His kiddos Sarriannha, Gerald, Billy, Dalton, and Jessica, as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Harrell, and brother Troy Harrell.
A Celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 2 PM at the Mortuary.

The first time we met you were walking from the middle school with David Harward to the Jr.high. I was sitting in my mom's car waiting for her to get finished talking to the Principal. You told David that you thought I was cute so he introduced us.
