Services for Freyja Elizabeth River Stephens, 22 months will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 5, 2025, at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Deadwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Hawthorns.
Freyja Elizabeth River Stephens was born December 28, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. She passed this life October 29, 2025, in Haskell, Texas. Freyja was one of three children of Destini Elizabeth Raynes and Justin Earl Stephens. Freyja was a light to the Stephens family. She loved the outdoors, planting flowers, vegetables and trees. She loved mud and water and found joy and happiness in all Gods creations. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Troy Stephens.
Freyja is survived by her loving parents Justin and Destini Stephens, her brothers Hagen and Troy of Weinert; grandparents, Melissa Stephens of Weinert, Cynthia Sharp and husband Russ David of Abilene, Wade Raynes and wife Charlotte of Weinert; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and a host of community members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Stephens, Tray Stephens, M.J. Abila, Robert Boyd and Hagen Stephens. The family requests memorials in her name to Hawthorn Funeral Home for expenses
