Juan Alcocer Jr., also known as Johnny, a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at his hometown in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 28, 1965, in the same vibrant city, Juan's life was a testament to his loving, kind, and faith-filled spirit.
Juan was preceded in death by his father, Juan S. Alcocer Sr., who instilled in him the values of family and hard work. He is survived by his devoted mother, Lucinda Alcocer; his caring brother, Jesse Alcocer and sister-in-law Lisa; his beloved son, Joel Alcocer and spouse Amanda; and his adored nephews, Jacob, Joey, and Jathon Alcocer. Juan's loyal dog, Rocky, was his constant companion, reflecting the unconditional love that Juan shared with all who knew him. His life was enriched by numerous cousins, friends, and extended family members, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
For seven years, Juan was a dedicated employee at DHL, where his passion and enthusiasm for his work were evident to all who worked alongside him. His colleagues remember him as a man who loved his job and approached each day with a positive attitude and a smile that could light up any room.
Juan's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys with fervor. The thrill of NASCAR races was a joy for Juan, He always enjoyed watching the races after a long day of work. His hobbies reflected his creative and meticulous nature, from remodeling his truck to the delicate care he took in upkeeping his aquarium. Juan's model car collection was a source of pride and a hobby that he enjoyed immensely.
A man of many talents, Juan was always handy around the house, a trait that endeared him to family and friends who often sought his help with various projects. His love for old school rock music was a soundtrack to many gatherings, where his presence was a guarantee of good times and laughter.
Above all, Juan's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devout Christian, he lived his beliefs through his actions, showing compassion and love to everyone he met. His commitment to his faith was an inspiration to those around him, providing strength and comfort to many.
Juan's legacy is one of love and service, and his memory will be carried forward by those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his generosity and warmth. His laughter, his joy for life, and his unwavering kindness will be deeply missed, but the impact he made on the world will continue to resonate.
As we say farewell to Juan Alcocer Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His journey on this earth may have ended, but his spirit remains with us, guiding and encouraging us to live with the same love and kindness that he exemplified every day.
Juan's life will be honored in a private ceremony, surrounded by those who loved him most. As we reflect on his life, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the lessons he taught us through his example. Juan Alcocer Jr.'s memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a beacon of the love and light he shared so freely. Rest in peace, dear Juan; your legacy of love continues on.
