I am grateful that my late wonderful Chilean friend, Rigo Cardenas, introduced me to his compatriot, this fine human being, Juan Carlos Ceballos. He was such a tremendous help to me. We picked up and delivered antique furniture at least once a week for three years. He was a very hard worker, very reliable, always polite. He dearly loved and missed his wife and children in Chile. Their photos were always on the dashboard of his delivery van, and he eagerly went home to them every Christmas, only to return to NY and work even harder. Blessings always to his beloved wife, son, and daughter. I will never ever forget him. He is in heaven for sure.

In memory....

We come from the same country, and I saw your story in TV Chile. It stayed with me for days and could not stop thinking about it. My parayers are with all the victims of this awful attack.

May the spirit of God give you eternal peace. Bless the loved ones and family you left behind. One day all of you will be reunited.

Hoy se cumple un año del terrible día que lamentamos recordar. Mi nombre es Eduardo Torres y soy amigo Alicia Ceballos, hija de don Juan. Para las personas que conozcan a la familia Ceballos-Mejías, o a doña Matilde, mis mas sinceros saludos a la distancia. Siento en el alma el dolor de la pérdida un ser querido, y más aún en un suceso tan trágico como lo fue éste. No nos queda más que agradecer por los maravillosos momentos ocurridos en vida, y esperar que usted, don Juan Armando, se encuentre en un lugar mejor, uno en donde haya menos injusticias y más paz que en este: 'nuestro mundo'.

Your name came to me in a memorial art project at Spaces Gallery in Cleveland Ohio. There is not much information about you. But i put my thoughts and my hopes for your spirit and your family into an envelope, with flower petals and offerings. the envelope is on display with all the others at the gallery. i am thinking the next time i go to new york maybe i would try to find your family. you will be remembered.
