Juan Garza Obituary
Juan Riojas Garza, 84, of Uvalde, Texas formerly of La Pryor, Texas passed away on February 23, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor, Texas. Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
He was born on June 24, 1940, in Progresso, Coahuila, Mexico to Simona (Riojas) and Heliodoro Garza.
He is survived by daughter, Maria Guadalupe Flores and husband, Pedro Martin of La Pryor; two sons, Juan Fidencio Garza and wife, Edelmira of Uvalde, and Heliodoro Garza and wife, Yamira Gabriella of La Pryor; four sisters, Teodora Rodriguez, Marta Ramirez, Simona Limones and Josefina Garza all of Uvalde; two brothers, Heliodoro Garza and Refugio Garza both of Uvalde; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Rodriguez; parents; two brothers, Alberto Garza and Alejandro Garza; and two sisters, Maria Martinez, and Margarita Lopez.
Pallbearers will be JJ Garza, Juan Garza, Jr., Jonathan Garza, Abel Diaz, Valentin Garza, and Julian Flores.
