Juan Segura Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jeter & Son Funeral Home - Dallas on Jan. 23, 2026.
Juan Segura, lovingly known as "Toño," was born on February 25, 1946, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Herlinda Berlanga and Roberto Segura. Juan passed away on January 20, 2026.

Juan met the love of his life, Margarita Leticia Segura, affectionately known as "Lety," in Monterrey, Mexico. They shared 46 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, family, and dedication.

Throughout his lifetime, Juan worked in many fields, including as a valet, taxi driver, asbestos worker, and ultimately spent 18 years as a maintenance technician for the Dallas Independent School District (DISD), where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Juan enjoyed gardening, especially growing his beloved plantas de chile piquín. He loved bird watching, boxing, and soccer, proudly supporting his favorite team, Rayados de Monterrey. He also enjoyed watching the Discovery Channel, especially Animal Planet. Juan loved trying his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets, always hoping to win big. He cherished traveling back to his birthplace of Monterrey, Mexico, and taking his family to the river, just as he did during his own childhood.

Juan was caring, thoughtful, and responsible, but most of all, he was a prankster. He loved joking around, making people laugh, and giving everyone funny nicknames. He was charismatic, playful, and brought joy wherever he went.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto Segura and Herlinda Berlanga, and his brothers, Olegario Seguraand Silvano Cesar Segura.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita Leticia Segura; his daughters, Yazmin Jannette Segura, Jessica Leticia Segura, and Abril Azeneth Segura; his son, Juan Antonio Segura Jr.; and his grandchildren, Andrés Romo, Alexis Romo, and David Sebastian De La Mora.

Juan Segura will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
