Juana Lopez, age 52, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 27, 1973.
Juana was a devoted wife to her husband, Gerardo Lopez, and a loving mother to her three children, Janie, Angel, and Arturo, who were the center of her life and her greatest motivation.
She is survived by her siblings Eugenio, Fidencio, Lucy, Emy, and Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jaime.
Juana was a woman of deep faith whose life reflected the love of Christ in everything she did. As a proud Cursillista, her faith guided the way she lived and the way she loved others. She devoted her time to volunteering at church events and was always ready to help those in need with kindness, compassion, and generosity.
Family meant everything to Juana. She loved spending time with her sisters, especially sharing coffee and conversation together. She also had a love for flowers and found joy in the beauty of life's simple moments. Juana created countless cherished memories for her children and was known for the amazing birthday parties she lovingly planned for them each year.
Those who knew Juana will remember her as incredibly kind, genuine, and full of faith-someone through whom Christ's love truly shined. Anyone who had the blessing of knowing her experienced her warmth, generosity, and the sincere way she cared for others. She lived her life trusting in God's plan and often reminded those around her with the words she believed deeply: "Primero Dios," meaning "God willing."
