Juana Tobar Obituary
Juana Tobar passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, she was 85 years old.
Juana was a woman with the purest heart, whose kindness and love touched all who knew her. Born in Lampasas and raised in Temple, she lived a life rooted in compassion, joy, and family.
She had a special love for children and a true gift for making them laugh. Her warm spirit, gentle nature, and biggest smile brought happiness to everyone around her. Music was one of her greatest joys, and it filled her life with comfort and happiness.
Juana was deeply cherished by her family, who had the privilege of lovingly caring for her after the passing of her parents. The family is forever grateful for each person who cared for her, and they know Juana loved them all with the purest gratitude in her heart.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for children, her joy for music, and the gentle spirit that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Juana is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Tobar Sr and Dolores Tobar (Castaneda); and sisters, Wanda Landeros and Dora Tobar.
She is survived by her brothers, Ernest Tobar Jr, of Harker Heights, Carl Tobar Sr, of Harker Heights, Joe Tobar Sr, of Temple, Jesse Tobar Sr, of Houston, and Raymond Sanchez Sr, of Rosebud; and sisters, Marcus Portillo, of Rosebud, Martina Jimenez, of Temple, Juanita Segovia, of Temple, Lupe Martinez, of Temple, and Delores Cortes, of Temple.
A visitation will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:00PM, at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple, the Holy Rosary will be recited following the visitation.
A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 2:00PM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.
Following the funeral mass, Juana will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
