Juanita May Bundrick, age 95, of
Derby, Kansas passed away on April 7, 2025, at the Via Christi, St. Francis, Hospital, Wichita, Kansas following a brief illness.
Juanita was born April 6, 1930, to Noah L. Rider and Della May (nee Ball) Rider. Juanita was the youngest of five children. At the young age of 15, Juanita married her first husband, Robert M. Winslow, Sr.; they had four children. Juanita met Charles (Chuck) E. Bundrick, Sr., in 1961and they married the following year. In their marriage of 48 years, they loved and raised a blended family of seven.
Raised during the depression era, Juanita learned early on the importance of working hard to make a living. Most of her adult life, she worked in Food Service. As a civilian employee for more than 30 years at McConnell AFB. Kansas, she served as the Contract Manager for McConnell's Military Dining Facilities for more than 15 years.
Working closely with the Base Contracting office, she ensured the dining facilities were at peak performance and the military members were always well fed. Her dedication and hard work were recognized by the 2001 Air Mobility Command Inspector General Operational Readiness Inspection team.
Juanita was predeceased by her parents, Noah and Della Rider, her husband Charles E. Bundrick, Sr., her stepdaughter Charlotte (nee Bundrick) Walsh, her son Daniel L. Winslow, her daughter Dixie Marie (nee Bundrick) Hormuth. Her brothers, Noah Eugene Rider and Ernest Vincent Rider, her sisters Neoma Dean Henry and Julia Alice Lohman.
She Is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. (nee Winslow) Creonte of Grain Valley, Missouri, her son's Robert M. Winslow, Jr. (Cassandra) of Brandon, Florida, Charles E. Bundrick, Jr., and Allen B. Bundrick of
Derby, Kansas. Juanita was very proud of and loved without reservation her 17 Grandchildren. 16 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Juanita was the proud Aunt to many nieces and nephews and always delighted when they were able to visit or call and check up on her. Deeply loved, she will be terribly missed and, in our hearts, forever.
